Adirondack Ice Series Metal Print | Fine Art Photography | Adirondack Winter Ice Macro
Every winter for over a decade, ice has formed on the single-pane glass of my 1969 trailer windows in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. Sub-freezing nights turn ordinary glass into something no one will ever see again. Each pattern grows once, the ice melts, and the moment is gone.
These art prints are from some of those hard winter mornings, printed directly onto aluminum. The mid-gloss metal surface brings out the shimmer and depth already built into the ice itself, like the frost is still catching the light.
No two mornings freeze the same way. What you're looking at existed for a few hours, on one window, in temperatures that don't invite company. Then it was gone.
